I have over 20 years experience in the camera department in broadcast, branded content and independent film across a wide range of genres.
I'm passionate about storytelling and have developed my lighting skills to a high level on short films and features in recent years. In March 2022 I wrapped on my 4th indie feature 'Kirsty's Promise' shot in black and white on the streets of Bristol. I have also lit and shot over 50 short films including 'Liverpool Ferry' for the BFI and three films for the Channel 4 'Random Acts' strand.
Awards include Aesthetica York Youth Award 2020 for short film 'Talia', 2x RTS Awards for Best Short and my work has been selected for many short film festivals in Europe and beyond. I also won Best Cinematography in the Global Trend Awards for the Dell Technologies TVC in the US.
I camera operate on the majority of my projects but I'm also happy to supervise multiple operators. I can source a full camera, lighting and sound team if that's what your production requires. I’m confident with most digital film cameras and formats from Arri, Sony and Canon to Panasonic and Black Magic. I also have a significant amount of my own kit for hire (see below).
I have bases in Bristol and London as well as access to great hire rates for additional equipment. I am also experienced in working under Covid-safe conditions.
I have worked and travelled extensively throughout the UK, Europe and the US, as well as Canada, China, Egypt, Iceland, Australia and the Middle East.
I'm a member of the Guild of Television Camera Professionals and have been a guest speaker at several of their Academy events in the UK.
I'm also a member of Women Behind the Camera which showcases women in the camera department on UK feature films and dramas. I also consider myself a strong advocate for women in film.
In 2022 I self-funded an adult Mental Health First Aid course so that I can better support my crew and those around me.
